Step-By-Step Directions

Step 1

Refer to your lawn mower owner's manual for proper blade removal instructions.

Step 2

Clean any dirt and debris from the blade. After securing the blade in a vise, sharpen the blade with the lawn mower sharpener attachment, following the original beveled edge of the blade. Recommended speed: 25,000 rpm.

Step 3

Place the center hole of the blade on a nail with the blade in a horizontal position. A balanced blade will stay level. If either end of the blade moves downward, sharpen the heavy end of the blade again to remove the extra weight. Refer to your lawn mower owner's manual for proper blade installation instructions.
