What You'll Need:

Other Supplies
  • Wood Glue
  • Silk Thread
  • Wood Clamp

Step-By-Step Directions

Step 1

When a spindle becomes separated from or loose in its dowel socket, you can re-secure it quickly and easily.

Step 2

After separating the spindle from the frame, use the 115 high-speed cutter to gently but thoroughly remove old glue from the rung and inside the dowel socket. Recommended speed: 20,000 rpm.

Step 3

When clean, coat the end of the spindle with glue and wrap silk thread around the end to enlarge it.

Step 4

Apply glue to the end of the spindle and the inside of the socket, then clamp and let dry.
