Let's Get Started

To reduce the risk of injury user must read instruction manuals for all tools used in this project. Wear eye and respiratory protection. Use clamps to support work piece whenever practical.

STEP 1

Step 1

Start by cutting the variety of material following the dimensions below with the Dremel Ultra-Saw. Material: 3/4" Sanded Plywood (1) 20" x 24" Material: 1" x 4" Pine Board (2) 25 1/2" (sides) (2) 20" (top & bottom) Material: 1" x 6" Pine Board (4) 25 1/2" (door fronts) Material: 1" height x 2" width Pine Board (4) 10 1/2" length (door slats) Material: 1/4" MDF (1) 9" x 20"

STEP 2

Step 2

Next, assemble the case by drilling 2 pilot holes with the Dremel 8050 in each end of the sides and top & bottom pieces, about 1/4" from the edges. Secure the precut sides to the base of the board, the 20" x 24" pine board with the 1 5/8" screws.

STEP 3

Step 3

Then, assemble the doors that go on each side of the case. Leave a 1/8" gap between the front panels before drilling and securing slats with 1" screws.

STEP 4

Step 4

After you’ve assembled the doors, stain and paint them your desired color. Once dry, attach the doors to the case that you built in step 2 & 3 with hinges. Space the hinges evenly, 2 to 3 inches from both ends of the doors.

STEP 5

Step 5

Finally, create the scoreboard for the dart board case by painting the MDF with chalkboard paint. Once dry, create pilot holes 1/4" from each corner with the Dremel 8050 again. Secure the MDF to the inside of the door with 1/2" screws on each corner. Hang the board on the wall, place the dartboard in the case and you are ready to play!
