Let's Get Started

To reduce the risk of injury user must read instruction manuals for all tools used in this project. Wear eye and respiratory protection. Use clamps to support work piece whenever practical.

STEP 1

Step 1

First, cut the 1’ x 6’ wooden board into the following dimensions: • (1) 12” x 18” • (1) 12” x 3”

STEP 2

Step 2

Then, cut the 2” diameter PVC into 2 pieces, 1.5” long. Then, cut the 4” diameter PVC into 1 piece, 5” long.

STEP 3

Step 3

Next, split the 5“ piece of PVC in half lengthwise, cutting with the Dremel Ultra-Saw and plastic cutting wheel.

STEP 4

Step 4

Once the PVC is cut, paint them to your preference, including the ping pong balls, to create the silly and fun display.

STEP 5

Step 5

While the PVC is drying, prepare to connect the boards cut in step 1 by drilling pilot holes with the Dremel Micro into the left and right corners of the boards. Then, drill 1 ½“ screws to attach the 3“ board to the 18“ board, as seen in the image.

STEP 6

Step 6

Next, determine where you want the bottle opener to be located on the 18“ board. Press the open half of the 4“ PVC to the 3“ board so it will collect the bottle tops when they fall from the bottle. Be sure to give enough space between the bottle opener and where the PVC sits to collect the bottle top. Hot glue the ping pong balls to the board so they appear like eye balls!

STEP 7

Step 7

Use the drill to secure the bottle opener to the wood with screws.

STEP 8

Step 8

At the top center of the 18“ board, use the Dremel Micro again to drill a pilot hole for the eyelet.

STEP 9

Step 9

Lastly, secure the eyelet by twisting it into the pilot hole created in step 8. You are now ready to hang this fun display!
