Let's Get Started
To reduce the risk of injury user must read instruction manuals for all tools used in this project. Wear eye and respiratory protection. Use clamps to support work piece whenever practical.
To begin your project, go to Dremel3D.com to print the school bus wheels and the pattern for the bus. https://3dprinter.dremel.com/3d-printer-project/mic ro-derby-cars
Once the 3D models are printed, use the template to trace the pattern onto the wood block.
Then, use the Dremel Moto-Saw to cut the pattern out of the block. Be sure to begin the cut on the side of the wood block that will be disposed of.
Next, smooth out the wood and round off the edges of the school bus using a Dremel Multi-Max and sanding pad.
Once smooth, paint the wood block to create the appearance of a school bus. Or, get creative and paint it to look like any automobile!
Using the Dremel Micro and bit, drill holes towards the bottom of the wood block to make a space for the wheel axles.
Lastly, stick the axles into the wheels and then place into the holes created in step 6. You are now ready to race!
