To avoid tough boot scrubbing and those muddy floor cleanup sessions, follow our easy guide to learn how to create your own budget-friendly DIY wooden boot cleaner. You’ll thank us later!
Let's go - step by step
Measure and Cut The Main Planks
To create the base, measure out the planks to your desired size. Try using the Dremel App to select the correct cutting accessory for your material, along with the reccommended RPM. Go ahead and cut the base pieces down to size following the markings.
Cut and Attach The Feet
Measure out the two base pieces to your desired size. To fix the base in place, glue down the planks using a strong wood glue. Once dry, grab the Dremel Precision Drill bit set (628) and drill multiple pilot holes for some screws. The will securely fix the base to create the main base structure.
Attach the Bottom and Side Brushes
Apply some more wood glue to the bottom of two wooden brushes and place in the center of the board. For a more secure hold, you can dril more holes through the brushes into the board, and add some screws. Measure and cut four additional wooden pieces to secure the side brushes in place.
Sanding Time!
For a smoother finish, sand down any rough edges to the wood with a Dremel Sanding band 13mm 60 grit (408) and mandrel.
The Finished Boot Cleaner
Your boot cleaner is complete! Keep it outside your front door to clean off those muddy boots and protect your beautiful home.
