Let's go - step by step

Step16

Design and Carve

Carving a wooden surface for DIY tower.

Start by gathering all the necessary materials. We found all of ours at a budget-friendly store, including wooden boards, tea light holders, a wooden bowl, a stainless-steel bowl, skewers, marshmallows, chocolate, cookies, and bio ethanol. If you have a secondhand store nearby you can also go there! First draw your flowers and designs. Using a Dremel Lite, we carefully engraved out the flower designs on the wooden boards and bowl to give them more depth.

Step26

Add Color

Adding color with marker to the wooden surface for the DIY tower.

Once the carving was done, we used acrylic markers to color the flower designs. After allowing them to dry, apply a thin layer of varnish to seal the colors and protect the wood.

Step36

Personalise Your Tower

Carving the DIY tower.

For an extra touch, besides the flowers, we carved the words "chocolate" and "cookies" into the bottom board, where our sweet treats will rest. This step is completely optional, you can also carve your name or making more flowers!

Step46

Assemble

Assembling wood with a Dremel Glue Gun.

All the “heavy” work is done! All you have left is assembling all the floors together. Using a Dremel Glue Gun and Bison glue sticks for a strong hold, we stacked the boards together with the tea light holders in between.

Step56

Fill and Enjoy

Filling the DIY tower with delicious goodies.

Now comes the best part – filling our tower with delicious goodies!

Arrange marshmallows, chocolate, and cookies on skewers, and place them in the tower. Add a small amount of bio ethanol to the stainless steel bowl, being careful not to overfill to avoid a large flame. Keep a large mug nearby to cover the bowl and extinguish the flame when needed.

And there you have it!  A delightful DIY project that's sure to elevate your staycation experience. Get ready to gather around the S'mores Tower with friends and family for a sweet and memorable treat!
