Introduction
Engraving a glass jar with a Dremel Rotary Tool is a festive decoration and thoughtful gift this holiday season.
Select and Prepare a Festive Design for Glass Engraving
First, choose a pattern to engrave on the glass jar. We found our snowflake pattern online and then printed it out. Tip: You can use a variety of glass containers, such as a glass milk jug, Mason jar or glass bowl.
Secure Your Pattern and Begin the Engraving Process
Firmly secure the pattern to the jar with tape. Make sure the pattern is located on the glass where you plan to engrave it.
Personalize and Complete the Decorative Glass Jar
With the pattern secured to the glass, use the Dremel Micro and engraving accessory to start customizing your jar. Trace the entire pattern with the Micro, engraving into the glass as you go. After the pattern is completely engraved, decorate the jar with raffia, pine, and berries. Place a candle or cookies in the jar to spread holiday cheer to friends and family!
To reduce the risk of injury user must read instruction manuals for all tools used in this project. Wear eye and respiratory protection. Use clamps to support work piece whenever practical.
