Step 1 8

Step 1

Cut out your patterns with scissors and then trace across wood pieces

Start by choosing patterns for your ornaments. Then cut your strips of wood wide enough to fit the selected patterns, with a couple inches extra on each side to give you room to work. TIP: We chose to create wooden ornaments, but you could use plastic or metal as well by simply adjusting your accessory on your MotoSaw.

Step 2 8

Step 2

separate each traced ornament by cutting the wood vertically with Motosaw

Cut out your patterns with scissors and then trace them across the strip of material you cut in step 1.

Step 3 8

Step 3

For any cutouts drill a hole in center of cutout first

Then, separate each traced ornament by cutting the wood vertically with your Dremel UltraSaw.

Step 4 8

Step 4

Secure piece to motosaw table and cut out inserts

Next, if an ornament has a cutout inside of it, you must drill a 1/4" hole wherever a cutout will be. You can also use your drill and 1/4" drill bit to create other decorations, such as eyes in a ghost. If you do not have any need to create a hole, move on to step 5. TIP: To prevent a blow-out, back up your material with a piece of wood.

Step 5 8

Step 5

Trace the pattern with your MotoSaw to cut the ornament out

Finally, it is time to begin cutting the pattern out! Attach a wood cutting blade to your Dremel MotoSaw and secure it to a table. Trace the pattern with your MotoSaw to cut the ornament out.

Step 6 8

Step 6

For cutouts drive saw blade through drilled pivot hole and secure in place

If your pattern has cut-outs, remove the blade from your MotoSaw and slip it through the pilot hole you created in step 4. Reinstall the blade and follow the pattern to cut out the appropriate parts.

Step 7 8

Step 7

Paint your ornaments and for a rustic look use Verstip to burn wood

Next, paint your ornaments to give them some color. TIP: If you prefer your wooden ornaments to have a rustic vibe, use your Dremel VersaTip and any VersaTip accessory to burn patterns into the wood.

Step 8 8

Step 8

Add extra decorations and hot glue to heath or hang

Add any extra decorations to your ornaments, such as glitter, ribbon or beads to accentuate the holiday fun. Attach them to a wreath using hot glue. Hang the wreath on the front door to greet Trick-Or-Treaters!
