Thanksgiving Cornucopia Centerpiece
- DifficultyMedium
Step 1
First, design your plaque’s pattern on a piece of tracing paper. One idea for the plaque is to add the initial of your last name to personalize the centerpiece.
Step 2
Trace the outer shape on 1/8“ thick wood and cut it out using the Dremel Moto-Saw.
Step 3
Then, sand and smooth edges with MM30 and the wood sanding pads. If you do not have an MM30, rub sand paper around the edges.
Step 4
After smoothing the wood, stain it to your preferred color. Keep a piece of old newspaper under your project to avoid damaging your work space.
Step 5
Rub graphite onto the back of the pattern you designed in step 1. Lay the pattern on the plaque and transfer pattern to the wood by firmly pressing the paper against the wood with the side of a pencil.
Step 6
Use the VersaTip™ to enhance the pattern, using any of the 7 VersaTip™ accessories.
Step 7
Using the Dremel 3000 and the Workstation as a drill press, drill holes at the ends of the wood. Attach the plaque to the cornucopia with decorative leather and twine ties. Add gourds and colorful leaves to the cornucopia for the perfect Thanksgiving centerpiece.
