Wooden Ring Box
Introduction
This week's project is a rustic twist on the typical jewelry box. Add a personal, handmade touch to this year's Valentine's gift with this wooden ring box.
Step 1
First, Source your wood & cut. We cut ours 1" for the lid and 2" for the base.
Step 2
Next, create your design and transfer it to your lid.
Step 3
Then, using your Dremel VersaTip, burn your design into the lid.
Step 4
Next, Wearing safety glasses and a mask, use your Dremel 4000 and a 7123 Diamond Wheel Point to make a "well" for your ring to rest in.
Step 5
Finally, create the hinge/ pivot point for your ring box by tapping a 4d 1 ½" finish nail flush through the lid and into the lip of the base of the box. That's it, now you can surprise that special someone with a custom designed jewelry box.
