Step 1

oscillate pieces

You need:

Begin by cutting the interior box sides from the 1/2" plywood by cutting 3.5" strips across the entire sheet. From these strips you'll need to cut 18 pieces at 6.5" long and 18 pieces at 7.5" long. Measure and mark your cuts. Onto your plywood material. With your material clamped to your workbench, cut along your marked strips using a Dremel Saw-Max tool equipped with the Wood & Plastic SM500 blade. You'll love how quickly and easily you can make these cuts with this one-handed tool.

Step 2

create frame

Using your Multi-Max tool & MM70W Sandpaper, smooth out any rough surface areas on the pieces you just cut. Build the 9 boxes for the inside of the board by gluing with wood glue. Allow the boxes to dry securely using clamps.

Step 3

put frame together

You need:

Lay out the boxes in a 3x3 tic-tac-toe pattern and measure the remaining side lengths. We measured our top length at 24" and our side height at 22-1/2". Your measurements may vary slightly depending on how your interior boxes set. Mark your required lines of cut in the 1/4" pine boards. Using your Dremel Saw-Max tool equipped with the same SM500 blade, cut along your marked lines. Set the outer box again with wood glue. We hammered finishing nails into all 4 corners for an extra-secure fit.
