Whether cutting from the bottom or top, removing the pulp/seeds and starting with a clean exterior is key

Design & Transfer

The right design is completely up to you and can be traditional, fun or even a little spooky

Pick & Prep

Step 1: Pick & Prep

Find a pumpkin with good surface area for your design. Avoid soft spots, abnormalities and a pumpkin that sits unevenly. Keep in a cool, shaded area. Put down plastic sheets or mats. Embrace the mess with old clothes.

Core & Clean

Step 2: Core & Clean

Wipe away the dirt from the outside of your pumpkin. Using your preferred method, cut out the top or bottom of the pumpkin. Remove the pulp and seeds. Then wipe and dry your exterior to prepare for carving.

Design & Transfer

Step 3: Design & Transfer

Whether simple or complex, choose a stencil you're excited about. Cut a circle around your design so that it lays better against the surface. Tape the edges to the surface and begin piercing holes to create the outline.
